When a LBS does a service what would they do, this is for a first service, just curious to know what kind of stuff they check.

    Brakes, gears, bearings, spokes and bolts usually. They readjust and do a safety check.

    The sort of stuff you should really take time to learn to do yourself ;)

    It's real easy, theres a million guides / videos to show you and it'll save you loads going forward.

    Take the free service where offered and learn how to do it yourself thereafter. It's not all that difficult to do the majority of stuff.
