Riding further afield - Peaks/Derbyshire/Notts book advice

Looking for some books as a trail guide.

Anyone uses this series

    I have the dark peak version, brought for a steal off ebay for £1.50, Personally i think the pages are bit too small, and some of the bigger route maps are printed over a few pages,where had bigger pages been used it would have all gone on one page,
    I 've used some maps from these guys if you know which area you'd like to go.large A4 maps, with good text descriptions of the routes.

    I got both the White and Dark peak of those books (infact I have them all) and they're fraking awesome.

    The routes are always very good.

    +1 on the above for the white & dark peak books. great if your completely new an area as you can pretty much guarantee a good day out.

    would deff take the relevent o/s map with you as well though as the map in the books (especially older additions) are more of a representation rather than navigable fro. also give you the opportunity to explore a few bridle paths not in the book

    I have the Dark Peak on CD(no longer available)good guide but some of the routes are better done the opposite way around :wink:
