Gutted - won't be able to watch it live.

It's a shame because it's one of my favourite races of the classics season.


Now that E3 is the preferred warmup for Flanders, yet GW has the heritage, the calander has been a compromise for the last 5 years or so.

Still a shame.

    suppose its to allow riders to target both or at least get round both?

    It's because E3 has been promoted to ProTour status, so it's good news for it's standing on the calendar.

    I wonder if it'll attract riders who want to do GW as well - I imagine not too many did both this year. A day in between to recover might make it more appealing.
