Cycling is dangerous!!

Nope didn't fall off or anything.

Got my new wheels today so was changing tyres. Taking the tyre off my old wheel, my hand slipped and I punched myself in the jaw and bust my lip :(

    That's a new one - was thinking your hand slipped and it was sliced off by the aero spokes :shock:

    Am unsure if the OP wants some lip from others, however, as a practical tip the use of tyre levers would give the right hook action and hopefully prevent unnecessary injury.

    I'm liking all the puns :)

    Yes I did use tyre levers to get the first part of the tyre off and then I was pulling up and my hand slipped and boom straight in the jaw.

    Sounds like you made a bit of a fist of it. You need to knuckle down and get practising changing tyres.

    Careful not to attempt anything more dangerous (like actually riding the bike) or you may be a contender for a Darwin Award. ;)
