So I want to do the tour of the chilterns on Sunday but I can't see where to enter on the website. They say entry is open til the 17th and that you can enter on the day but I can't see where to click to enter. Can anyone help me or does anyone know if it is sold out?

Thanks

You're very welcome. See you there.

    I hear it's hilly.

Thanks to the organisers for a well run event. The only issue I noticed was a missing sign in Berkhamsted (adding 6 km to my ride).

The people from LMNH did a fantastic job. Defo the best feed station that I have seen on any sportive in the UK. I had two cups of lovely espresso :D

Well glad you had a good time Pieter. I wasn't the only person to think it could have been better.

Bad start - forgot my biking shorts - first time in my life. I asked around but wasn't surprised folks don't bring spares so I set off in my cargo shorts - if you saw a guy in a yellow jersey and khaki cargo shorts that was me.

I am raw in places one should not be but surprisingly didn't notice at first - however, after 115kms I struggled to get into a comfortable position on the bike.

Rode with 2 very fast Kiwi guys, they were awesome. Then I rode with 3 Dutchmen who were quite friendly and laughing their way around the course.

I also went 2km off course at the top of the Berkhamstead climb - I even climbed the last 100 meters of Kings Road again to look for the sign which I finally saw.

http://connect.garmin.com/activity/93668860 without the detour I'd have saved 5 mins to get about 5:35, but I was happy with 5:40 given the shorts situation.

The course took in much of the Chiltern 100 route backwards, we should have climbed a lot of the really steep descents we did. I forgot how much mud there is in Hartfordshire...

Just looked at the reslults of the cyclefit ride and there were no more than 350 finishers.

I wonder if that's a low than expected number, maybe given other events on this past weekend like the Great Western Sportive, London to Brighton, and the Mountain Mayhem 24 hour race, etc.
