Hi,

I'm looking for some advice on what bike to go for.

The bike will be used for a mixture of road and trails, some riding at the weekend but mainly the few miles to work which is a mixture of road/ off road.

I'm aware that my budget of circa £250 isn't that much and that I should spend more but it is what it is and I just need to get the best for my money.

Here's what I've been looking at - would be keen to get some feedback.

Carrera Vulcan Disc Spec

(or am I as well going with the V Spec and saving £100??)

Carrera Vengeance

Giant Yukon

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

I have had the Carrera Vulcan Disc for about the last 3 years and it was a very good starting bike. Don't expect wonders from it as the fork isn't great, but i was a huge fan of the tektro brakes! I recently purchased a carrera kraken in the sale for £300 and going to build it up - new wheelset etc and very happy with this.
