Removing Campag Record chainset

Hi all -

I want to remove a Campag Record (square taper) from my BB and replace with a tripple. I have either a Chorus or a Centaur tripple (I can't remember which atm.)

2 questions, do I need a special crank removal tool to remove the Record cranks/chainrings from the bike? There does not appear to be any locking parts however last time I tried I couldn't get the cranks off (using a wooden hammer!)

2ndly - Do I need to purchase a new BB to fit the new chainset or are all of the Campag range compatible?

You will need a standard crank removal tool Fitting the triple willl require a 115.5mm Campag BB as your Record double should be 102mm
