Integrated Headset Spacer
Just received a new frame and forks in the post. Included was a headset - a Pro-Lite Ampezzo 1 1/8" Integrated Headset.
In the box was:
2 X Bearings
1 X Crown Race (split)
1 X Upper Race (split)
1 X Spacer
1 X Top Cap (for alloy steerers)
Where does the spacer go? Under the crown race if required, or should it always be fitted?
thanks
Steve

I think it would normally go between upper race and the top cap to ensure the bearing pre-load is applied correctly (ie to avoid the top cap compressing onto the frame), but without pictures, it is difficult to say0
