Every Time A New Noise

Recently (last 2 weeks or so), every time I take my bike out there's a new noise. I wouldn't mind but it's only 4 months old, and I look after it very well.

Yesterday there was in intermittent "knocking" that was so loud at one point that it was echoing off the trees above.

Also, the rear wheel is making a real loud "ticking" when I free-wheel - waaaaaaaay louder than it should do, but basically the same noise just louder - which bit needs oiling to fix that one??

I can't remember the last time I had silent running. What am i doing wrong?!

Tonight looks set to be the first dry night in a LONG time, but it will probably be spent on the drive with the bike in the bike stand trying to sort the latest noises out :-(

Bike noises can be a pain to sort, given it's new I'd be checking all the bolts and still tight (inc. chainring bolts, stem, seatpost head etc,). What make of wheels are they? Some are over-packed with grease when new which deadens the sound, when some of the grease is flushed out they can start sounding a lot louder. Some bikes themselves also have issues (think there was a problem on last year's Cannondale Synapse with the BB causing a clicking sound)

The most irritating noise (other than the frightfully loud & seemingly random "cracking" noise) is the ticking of the back wheel when "cruising" - it's that normal noise you get, just MEGA LOUD, and only happened since yesterdays ride.

Will be taking it to pieces tonight to clean the whole thing & will check all the bolts are tight.

    It's a 2010 Spec Secteur Comp.

Saddles tend to crack and creak
Just make sure everything is tight, lubed and adjusted.
    May be its bike 'newness'
