hello brought a orbea onix which is coming with the Mavic Aksium Black Wheelset. I can get the Mavic Ksyrium Elite Clincher Wheelset for £200 if I give them the aksiums. Is this a good deal and worth the money will it be much diffrent and worth doing? What's the ksyrium wheelset like?
Cheers

£200 is approx the difference in the usual price for Aksiums v Elites, so the bike shop are not doing you a terrific favour/great deal as such.

Elites get great reviews from owners on here. Aksiums seen more as a fairly reliable training wheel due to weight.

Yea there just taking the price off the auksiums off the new wheels I just think that I only have to find £200 instead off £450. This is my first road bike. Is this worth doing or get new wheels next year? Will it make much difference with these new wheels?
    Cheers

Elites can be had for £354+ at Merlin with VIP membership & shimano10 code (may end tonight), so £450 is wide of the mark for these wheels. The fact that the shop are keeping the Aksiums means that you are not spending £200 on the Elites at all - more like £350+ given the cost of Aksiums.

If it's your first bike keep the Aksiums and save your money IMO - you can always upgrade later (they're not doing you a monster deal givent he money that you are spending - get them to chuck some decent tyres in as well with the Elites (let them keep the stock tyres which may not be that great) then that might be another matter)
