Choosing the right bike

Hi all
I'm new to this site and have been doing the internet rounds trying to source a suitable bike for my daughter. I've sort of narrowd it down purely on frame size (13" as she has tried this size and it fits perfectly) to a Trek 3700 disc and a Specialized Hard Rock disc.
I've tried to do a straight comparison between the two but as I don't know the quality of the different equipment fitted to the two bikes, I'm at a loss as to which one is better value as both are in the same price bracket (£380).
Any help and guidance would be much appreciated.

But FWIW my money would be on the Spesh....
