Alfine Chain - Which One?

Got an Alfine 8 SGS 501 an need to replace the chain but not sure which chains are compatible.
Can anyone shed some light please?

    Any single speed chain will do it. They're generally sized 1/2" by 1/8".

    The standard Alfine chain is 3/32 singlespeed such as KMC

    You can probably use 1 1/8 chain but some people report it a bit rattly on thin sprockets and rings.
    Chainsets with 3/32 rings + guard rings may be too narrow for the thicker chain.
    Sturmey Archer 1 1/8 sprocket can be persuaded to fit if you shave off a sliver of thickness with an oilstone.

    If you want 1 1/8 chain, you can still get bushing chains, more durable than modern bushless ones.
