Steel stanchioned Toras are pretty much indestructable. The Toras off my C'dale are now on bike #3 since 2008 during which they have been subjected to frequent, intense neglect. They've developed a bit of play but in terms of suspension they work fine, no weird noises or unusual behaviour.

The plan is to run them until they die.

champion. i'm not worried too much as as far as i'm concerned its what the bike was bought and designed for.

but they didn't half take a beating and it does make you wonder if entry level kit can handle the knocks.

They are one of the strongest forks rs makes. Tougher than rebas, sektors and revs. Up there with the pike.
