Hi,
I'm doing Lejog end of August on my own and unsupported I have my first 3 mights accommodation booked
1 Sennen (for start)
2 Okehampton
3 Bristol (at a friends)

Everything I read says steer clear of the A30 towards Okehampton but what are the alternatives without adding too many miles?
Cheers

I'd go on the Granite Way from Lydford to Okehampton, then go on the old A30 from Okehampton to Exeter (it runs right next to the dual carriageway most of the way, and is a lovely road to cycle). Dunno if you're then cutting off the corner and doing Crediton-Tiverton-Taunton (a nice route, but hiller than Exeter-Taunton), but if you go on the old A30, you can turn off at Tedburn to get to Crediton.
