Hi all,
I have a 05 trek fuel 80
http://www.trekbikes.com/us/en/bikes/20 ... ive/fuel80
I am conteplatng replacing the rear schock and front fork.
Few questions.
1. being a complete nub when it comes to suspension (im a roadie who bought this a few years ago second hand but hasnt used it really:S), how do i work out what will fit the frame?
2. The front fork is shot and since i can buy the fork for 50 quid it seems its not worth servicing, and the rear is pretty gone, would this be correct? It is a Manitou Splice Comp w/TPC LO, alloy steerer, and i would think even a cheap suntour XLM with remote lockout (65ish on ebay) would be an ugprade since its so old lol
3. is it worth me spending some money on the front fork and rear shock (I would like to get both with remote lockout), or just buy a second hand frameset and fork with a rear shock?, the bike cost be 200 quid 3 years ago as a mate was told either get rid of some bikes or their going in the skip my his wife
Cheers
Will

either discuss it with any Trek dealer or measure the i2i and the stroke

be aware that there is also a bump stop inside most shocks."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."
