Roses Round - grand day out

third time i've done this, and it's evolved into a pretty darn good event. The route's always been good with a couple of good climbs then a bit of a sting in the tail finish, but the first year we did it (2008, i think) the organisation wasn't the best and it wasn't brilliant value - well today was great. Butties, cake, tea and coffee at 2 feeds and the finish, excellent signeage and chip timing. Stonking. Not a terribly fast time as we were helping a mate round his first sportive, but great fun and pleased to be able to get the hammer down a bit up the last climb back to the finish.     And you managed to bloody miss me! You took the two hope lads I'd been cunningly shadowing and took two of my inanely grinning mate who "sprinted for the photographer"!
