Tyre surface cut repairs

I have 2 week old Vredstein Fortezza tyres, and back from this morning's ride I noted a small cut to the upper surface of the rear tyre, off the central rolling strip. It is about 3 mm long and barely 0.5mm across.

The integrity of the tyre seems fine, but for peace of mind can I try to repair this cut? I seem to have a vague recollection of someone suggesting super-gluing such cuts.

Is that right? Any other suggestions?

Cheers in advance.

I've never bothered. I've heard lots of people recommending superglue but that is far too hard and brittle - same reason it's not good at gluing rubber.

You would be better with something more flexible and tough - your local DIY place would have something if you want to try it.
I'm left handed, if that matters.
  • I've heard that Shoe Goo is good for sealing cuts.
