Hi,

Heading to Alpe D'Huez to see the tour and ride some of the big cols around Bourg D'oisans. BUT before that spending a few days in Fussen - Garmish area - Anyone recommend a 50 mile or so route with some good 8-12km climbs suitable for road bikes?

Thanks

M

Maybe take it easy and go for miles instead of hill climbs .The Romantic highway(Germanys most famous cyclepath) starts/ends near Fussen for starters and maybe go for miles along that instead of hills.. Dont miss out on the castle..The short climb itself from the Entrance up to Neuwansteinstein Castle is a real toughie.for any cyclist.

Hahntennjoch is just across the border in Austria. It is probably the closest to what you have in mind. A challenging climb with great views and very technical on the descent (either side).
