Via Claudia - Road quality from Fussen to Landsberg

Hi,

Anybody advise on the qualiity of the road from Fussen to Landsberg on the Via Claudia cycle route?

Suitable for a carbon road bike with skinny wheels? Much off road or rough cycle path?

    My memory isn't what it used to be. And I can't remember whether Landsberg is in the Austrian or Italian part of the route. Anyway if it helps at all, I did the route from the Reisen Lake to Feltre. Mostly the surface was tarmac but there was one shortish section of cindertrack (ie surfaced with what looked like cinders).

    If all else fails you could try emailing the VCA peopme - therevshould be an email address on the website.
