If it rains while out on a ride, so be it, but, I'm not so "time poor" I will set out while it's peeing down. If you want to call me a wuss, so be it, I don't care, I'm nice and dry. I'll ride another day I'm not trying to win the TdF, I'm just trying to lose a bit of weight not get pneumonia,

Ditto. Had planned a ride to Windsor great park (it's not that great) and back. It rained so went out on the MTB instead. My road bike is shiny clean and didn't want to get it dirty.
Not a soft southerner. Commuted on the bike all winter in the cold. Not a problem. If I'm out and it rains then I get wet, but don't like setting out in it. Cold = ok. Wet = not always ok.
On the plus side, my lawn's getting a decent soaking

Good ride though. I've been drier swimming.
