Shimano BR-M445 hydraulic disc brake failure

Out riding cwm tonight with my m8 on his new http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_786835_categoryId_165499_langId_-1?cm_sp=Intelligent_Offer-_-Product_List_Zone_1-_-Blank&iozone=PLPz1#dtab

hes not rode much as was using all 4 fingers to slow on the last downhill sections this this happed:

so it come off and hit him in the leg hard. the front wheel went sidewords and he went over the bars. but he lives to fight another day.

    Lucky to have come off with only slight injuries

    I'm guessing the bike's not been crashed before this incident?

    Back to the shop it came from and he should (provided it is a manufacturing defect) get a new one FOC

    nopes its only been used a few times, and hes never been off.
