Hi,

Its time again for a new tyre, and I'm drawn to a cheap red ultremo R.1. But seeing I had black tyres before, I am hesitant whether the red will go with the silver allez frame. Anyone with a silver frame tried red tyres? Do they match?

Anything goes with silver, but you may also find this useful in future.

Nice to see someone still knows how to spell Tyre and Colour but can anyone remember the correct pronunciation of Schedule?

I used to use grey Vredestein Fortezza Tricomp Tyres with a silver frame.

I have an orange 2006 Lemond Buenos Aires shod with Orange/Cement Michelin Pro Race 3s that I got 1/2 price (because of the colour).

tried all colours of tyres but am convinced black tyres roll better.i have heard some people say that colouring can affect the compound of the tyre thus affecting performance

Striped tyres make even true wheels look buckled.

Used to use coloured tyres (red) but just buy all black now. Somehow it just looks better, and any colour of sidewalls other than black will start to look a little faded and grubby after a few hundred miles.
