Bikes and Insurance

Yep.... I've finally gone and done it.
Had my bike on the car roof and hit a low archway.
I knew it would happen eventually.
The result isnt pretty but could have been worse, and best of all nobody saw! (I think)
My question is would I be able to recover the cost of my bike through insurance. Dont think it would work on my car insurance but what about home contents insurance?
Anyone know?
