chainrings

I`m looking at playing around with chainring sizes, can someone tell me if most shimano rings are interchangeable with most shimano cranks. I know the PCD has got to match for fixing but do SLX rings fit Deore cranks, ect.
Basically i`ve got a Deora M532 crank with 22-32-44 rings and fancy upping the inner and middle a couple of teeth.
Are RaceFace or FSA rings any good and compatible?

    many are and many are not.
