Dead Tora's?

I have got a set of 2010 Tora SL 100mm coil forks. Until this evening they have always worked really well. While riding a fairly smooth trail, out of the saddle stomping on the pedals the forks suddenly bottomed as I put my (slightly excessive) weight over them. The forks now don't rebound properly, feel extremely sticky & notchy and have a bit of a knocking though I can't feel any play in the stanchions. There is no oil leaking, the rebound damper is still making the same noise it always has made and the lock out still works.
Any ideas what could be wrong with them? Or is it time to invest in a set of rigids?

when were they last serviced?"Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

They are only 13 months old & not done more than 300 miles so I haven't had them serviced yet. I do clean & lube the stanchions after every ride.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350
