I thought I'd have a go at making my own:

Value porridge oats.
roughly equal quantities of butter, syrup and brown sugar
chopped whatever you can find fruit (I used apricots)
a bar of chocolate (not really needed)
blend up the oats to make them finer

melt the sugar, syrup and butter in a sauce pan.
add the oats. Keep adding until there is no more mix to soak up and the oats start to stay dry.

chop up the choc bar and mix in.
Spread into a baking tray or cake tin. cook on middle until brown. make cut marks for bars while still warm cut and wrap in cling film when cool.

its basically condensed flapjack.

I've just made about 20 for 2 quid.

+ 1 but add some chopped roasted almonds into it and chopped glacier cherries, spread a thin layer onto the baking tray then a thin layer of raspberry jam and then more oaty mix on top for a bakewell inspired power bar!!!

I know of people adding whey protein into it as well!!!
