Honister Pass & Great Gable
Me and a mate decided to ride Honister and great gable route which was featured in mbr... I knew it was gonna be hard but it must be said its one of the hardest things i have ever done more of a hike with your bike than riding
so if you thinking bout doing this route DONT... unless you want a ride and walk from hell
in my opinion it should never have been published in the magazine
some down hill sections were ok but no great reward for the uphill sloggs.

I've been eyeing up doing it thinking surely it can't be as bad as they made out but doesn't sound like I should bother at all

Having walked most bits of this route over the years I was a bit surprised to see a "ride" in MBR 0

There's loads of classic good stuff in the Lakes...I wouldn't even contemplate riding GB&Honister :roll:0
