    I thought this would be a link to one of the many American cycling forums that I have stumbled across asking what gun people carry when going for a ride.

    Back OT, I hope he gets his $50 back and that the stupid law is changed. And that the police learn a bit of common sense rather than just blindly enforcing the laws choose to.

    If only. We had a close call with the Highway Code a couple of years ago:

    In 2006 a cyclist in Telford was fined for obstructing traffic by not using a cycle lane, although this was later overturned.

    I believe there's also a case of contributory negligence by a cyclist hit whilst not using a cycle lane across a slip road.

    I don't know what he's complaining about. He's a US film maker that has managed to get this story and his latest HBO TV series publicised on just abut every news site for the measly sum of $50.
