so in my hast i took the old tubes out and got them fitted. realise today that all the spare tubes i had were all actually too short on the stem, as are the new ones ive ordered. total burn.0

BTW, please let us know how the new Wheels are!! Thinking about upgrading mine soon0 -
will do mate...
im just going to return the inner tubes back, evans have a 30day return. get them replaced with the longer valve stems. they are pretty cool about that sort of stuff.
taking them out tomorrow for my work commute. looks promising so far... and stupidly light. like stupidly stupidly light set of wheels. i've also changed my cassette from a 11-27 to a 12-25 it should prove a very interesting ride!
i did opt to use rim tape to be on the safe side, but in reflection the machine finish in them was so dam smooth that it was unlikely to ever puncture an inner tube. ill let you know how i got on. oh i your thinking about getting the same, ribble at hte moment are by far the cheapest!0 -
Funny you should say that, Was just on their site
Will have to wait until I can justify the expense though (or at least till I can find a believable reason to give the wife as to why I need new wheels!)0 -

I run Racing 3s on my every day bike. Thye've got about 4,000 miles in them now and after 6 months of thrashing round London every day they're still as true as the day I bought them.
Light and stiff, no need for rim tape. Great wheels. No punctures either, but a) that's down to the tyres and b) just luck anyway. I'll be replacing the tyres before I get a puncture at this rate (watch me get one tonight now . . . )0 -
Jealousy has kicked in.....
I need to lighten my bike up a bit, and new wheels are on the pipeline for me. Just need to find cash.
Just out of interest, how much did you pay for them?0 -
i recommend you buy the spoke replacement kit. if you break a spoke the spokes are weird and very few bike shops will stock them.BMC TM01 - FCN 0
Look 695 (Geared) - FCN 1
Bowman Palace:R - FCN 1
Cannondale CAAD 9 - FCN 2
Premier (CX) - FCN 6
Premier (fixed/SS) - FCN30 -
LOVE my F3's - run them on a Cube Litening with Ultegra - I know you can buy better (F1's, Dura-Ace etc) but for a guy of my riding abilities that set-up is beautiful and more than exceeds my ambition. Lovely wheels hope you enjoy them....Raymondo

Not convinced that for the price that the Fulcrum 3s are 3x better than the Fulcrum 5s (quoting Merlin non VIP prices - 2009 F5 model).0

I am very fond of my F3's... but would like a par of light 50mm carbon clinchers....Simon0 -
agreed, basically set a price limit on what you ideally want to spend. do your research and get the best you can afford.
so far ride quality feels good and light. the hubs are definately louder than my standard bontraager wheels but these seem to roll for ages at decent speeds too.... its a nice sound though, the sound of quality lol.
overall its pretty hard to judge. changing from my 11-27 to 12-25 cassette has been interesting. overall though im pleased with the wheels. only covered 10miles on them so far and thats with a cold, so im not very quick or lively today. ill keep you guys updated.0 -

okay so heres some more detail. wheels are excellent climbers... hit my usual inclines on the way back from work, and was notably more energised at the end of it, regardless of my lungs taking a battering from this cold. they dont flex at all under my body weight 65kg which is great news. and wheels are true straight out of the box. cant really comment on speed gains, seem to have reach about the same average speed as the old wheels (i was cycling much lighter today though so when im back to full health id imagine theyd be much better)
once i get these wheels up to a decent speed, they seem much easier to hold and maintain than my previous bontrager which again is a bonus....
still finding the sweet comfy spot with the new cassette.. in some ways im missing my 11-27 but its more a case of getting used to the new shifts...
loving the look of the rims too and i do seem to get a few people glancing over at them, which is nice lol.
i should say, im running gator skins ultra folding 25s at around 115-120psi0
