La Marmotte - training advice needed

Hi. Am riding La Marmotte in just under a month. I did it last year and had a nightmare (crashed badly descending the Glandon, 3 punctures) but finished and got a time.
This year my training is a little undercooked with 3 weeks off due to viral infection and cycling quite alot in last month. Have managed 3 days riding in the Alps (Moutiers to Va Thorens and Col de la Madeleine being biggest climbs).
Anyhow, I am a novice really and with three weeks of riding left available for me to improve, I wondered what I should be focussing on (other than praying). I am based in the Chilterns so I have some tough cycling available (obviously no big climbs) but I was thinking:
- hill reps a couple of nights a week
- 1 big ride in the chilterns at the weekend (6-7 hours)
- 1 smaller ride during the week.
Any thoughts welcome ....
Cheers

Probably better to ride both days at the weekend if possible and split the 6-7 hours over two days. That way you'll be fresher for your mid week training. Also try doing the last hour of your long rides at threshold pace.0
