Was gonna post this just now
He takes rather extreme measures to get his point across, I hope he's healed up now0 -
Hope he makes a point with NYC and gets $50 back!0

As it turns out, it technically is a ticketable offence in NYC not to use a cycle lane if one is available.0

In this case, the law is an ass.
I do wonder why he stopped to be ticketed though. Whenever a cop has tried to stop me, they failed. Badly.FCN 3: Raleigh Record Ace fixie-to be resurrected sometime in the future

I love the smash into the cop car at the end, I do hope a couple of cops were in it.Bianchi Infinito CV

There was a news story on US blogs where a woman was being ticketed for RLJ so decided to ride off. NYC cop knocked her off the bike with the police car and pulled his firearm before she was cuffed, and then she spent the night in the cells.
The general response was that she shouldn't have tried to run!
UK police are much nicer in that respect!0 -

I once, shamefully, watched "LV 24/7" which was a programme following Las Vegas cops.
They chase after a pickpocket, for a good 5 minutes, before finally getting the guy.
They have him on the floor, putting the cuffs on whilst sitting on his back, before the policeman punches the pickpocket in the back of the head. "Stop resisting!" - before punching him another 3 times.
Police in the 'states have a massive power complex.0
