Any 10sp chain I should avoid?

My 105 chain is showing 1/16th (over 12) wear so I'm gonna replace with the intention of not having to change the cassette.

My question is: are there any 10sp chains to avoid? My initial thought is KMC + Missing Link (or whatever it's called), but I don't want to buy a duffer!

My 10 speed experiences...i always replace them at 0.75%
    KMC, circa 1000 miles.
    Veloce, 1200 miles
Currently on 105, when i fitted it, it seemed quite a few advised 105 isnt a 'long life' chain. Its only done circa 700 miles so no verdict on that yet.
Next ones a SRAM, that seemed well regarded.

Maintenancve regime is regular on all my chains.

So am I being premature at 1/16 of an inch? 0.75% of 12 inch is 9/100.

0.75 with chain checker? probably nowhere near worn. my kmc has done over 2thou miles dry weather and is nowhere near 1/16 worn on the ruler

Yeh I measured mine the old fashioned way - with a steel tape! 1/16 wear showing.

I'll have a word in my LBS before purchasing, see what they say.

My chain history on the Scott.

    105 - 5 months
    Dura Ace < 1 month
    KMC X10 SL - 9 months

Just got a new KMC X10 SL Gold for £25 from Taiwan on eBay, took a couple of weeks but great chains.

That's a bit meaningless unless you tell us how much you ride each month!

I'd avoid Ultegra chain. Only got 628 miles out of that.

as a basic rule of thumb, shimano chains are turd. wipperman and kmc are nice. i did buy a stronglight 10spd chain from ribble a good while back and it was superb.

KMC for me, either the X10 if you are on a budget(3000 av) or the SL if you can afford a few quid more(nearly 4000 miles)

Surprised by the low mileage people are getting. I know I'm no powerhouse, but I usually manage to get 3000+ miles out of a chain.
