Noise from pedal

Hi all,

My bike has developed a knocking noise coming from the left pedal after a trip to thetford forest.

As a complete noob, I don't really have a clue about these things, so I thought I'd ask you guys for some advice.

There didn't appear to be any play in the bearing but I have since replaced the MG1 with one of the original pedals that came with the bike and that seems to have cured the problem, what I'd like to know is, are MG1's serviceable and if so, how does the bearing come out.

Is it just a case of inserting something into the body of the pedal and gently tapping the bearing out.

Are the bearings available as a replacement part or is it a case of buying some generic bearings from somewhere such as www.simplybearings.co.uk

Thanks

Roy.

sounds like they need a grease.

have a look in the FAQs and see if the topic there helps.

  • Thanks for the quick reply m8, I've got it in bits at the mo, so I'll get some grease tomorrow and try that first.

Lets hope that it's something as simple as that.

    Thanks again.
