If they're standard road tyres they'll be 700c and then probably 23mm or 25mm.

Personally I'd recommend against the Ultra Sports - I found them to be very poor at resisting punctures.

I've had better luck avoiding punctures on conti GP4K than Rubino Pro's - additionally the GP4K is a much nicer tyre, but not as hard wearing.
  • Best for puncture resistance was bontrager Racelite Hardcase.

Should be still around. Not the fastest but you will NEVER get a flat with one.

should find them around for £18 or so

I have Continental Flak Jackets on my road bike and Continental Sport Contacts on my hybrid and am very happy with both.... so far - 850 miles in.

+1 for Rubino Pros, I've only had one flat whilst using them, but that was due to the inner tube blowing as I think I'd pinched it.
They're nice and grippy, roll well and come in pretty colours :D

+1 for the Bontragers. Used them on my commuter now for about 6 months in all weathers and supremely tough. Easy to fit too.

hi, thanks for the help dident expect that much!! ive just come home from a cycle and ive had a look on the web and ive decided the best tyre for me is Continental Ultra Gator Skins Tyre.
ive found it for £22.49 at evanscycles.com (good variety) still looking for a better price but might have to buy it from there perhaps ebay!
