Does anyone have any experience of the ebay shop TripleButted Cycling?
In particular, has anyone got one of their unbranded titanium mtb frames? They look quite nice but £600.....

WIthout more info I would be wary ie frame angles, warranty, more specs.
The headtube looks very odd, very little support at the bottom.0 -
Oh right. Thanks.0

I would not be wanting a Ti frame with both V and disc mounts.
it looks just like a patten aluminium frame. strange how the head tube is longer on the smaller frames. makes me wonder about the geo."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

I think they are probably seconds.
ie they forgot to jig it properly and did not weld the downtube in the lower place lol.0 -

My daughter just got a Dirty Jo F-C frame from tripplebutted, while it was clearly seconds quality (marks in the paint) it arrived quickly and well packaged, no other problems found.
Not sure about the above explanations, if it wasn't jigged properly and the downtube welded too high, then the end form would be at the wrong angle, and for titanium that would make it very hard to weld and the weld would look like shite. But I do agree the numbers and lengths look 'funny'. £300 maybe, not £600 gamble!

Looks good, but for an extra £200 id be tempted to go for an on one ti 456 to get the warranty and assurance that a known brand provides0

Normally if a frame has longer head tube it would be connected lower down and with a small gusset to support the down tube.
Smaller head tubes, where the top and downtube meet are usually stronger becasue of the connection of the two tubes giving a greater surface area to weld and support.
Those frames look OK for the money, but there is a reason they are cheap.0
