I'm sorry, I don't care who you are, or what you do, the Red Arrows are ALWAYS bIoody impressive!
Of all the jobs in the entire world, this is the one I have always wished I could do.
The word "awesome" is massively over-used (by me as much as anyone) but they really are awesome!

Did you watched that little series they did.... awhile back (On BBC1 IIRC), about the whole application and training procedure? It's crazy, even as one of the best pilots in one of the best air forces your still very rarely good enough for them.0

Meh
Always thought they could do better with harriers :P0 -
Where's the other one?0

Bloody crabs......amazing how the army always prefer the navy to collect and drop them off though (rather be at the LZ rather than 2K away coz of a bit of mist on the hills)....ffs follow the gradient in a hover taxi mode....Crabs are all show and no go...Navy gets you where you want when you want.....thats the motto that counts....0

I always wanted to go in the RAF as a fighter pilot, but in the summer between A'levels got a job in a solicitors office and the ££ turned me to law :?
Still wonder what would have been if I had followed my original plans0 -

Agree completely! Saw them last down at Bournemouth air show a few years back and absolutely loved it.Out with the old, in with the new here.0 -
This is one of the main reasons I miss the old military airshows like Mildenhall.
That and watching some muppet with a camera having his head caved in by MPs for jumping the fence and trying to get too close to the B-1B.Visit Clacton during the School holidays - it's like a never ending freak show.
Who are you calling inbred?0 -

Makes me proud to be British, also:
The Vulcan should be at the TT on Friday.0 -
Yep, half 7 on friday night. Can't wait!
All this stuff has me now wishing I had a better camera to get these pics. Our little point-and-shoot doesn't really do them justice.0 -

You don't want to be arsing around with a camera, take it all in with your own eyes. Go on the net for the pics:-)0 -
With a Vulcan it all about the ears not the eyes.....0

The Vulcan is absolutely fantastic, it had a purpose and will hopefully remain flying for a long time God bless her.
The red egos are a massive drain on a massively overstretched air force.
I thank you.Loving life in rural SW France

seen them a few times.... Awesome is the ONLY word.
Would love to see all the retired Harriers (BTW, Why the Hell did they retire them?! Awesome plane...) used for a show too, those things are so nimble it's scary...
The loudest thing iv'e ever heard though has to be a Eurofighter flying low over Swansea bay at an air show a few years ago... my ears were ringing for hours afterward... those things are freaking monsters.I like bikes and stuff0 -
I thought this was going to be a thread about having the decorators in.0

I watched one of these ponce about in the sky at Fairford last year, bloody impressive.0 -

Especially considering there is no pilot in there
If they did, bit of a nightmare if the communications broke down though.0 -
Seeing one of these on a cruise ship would be a shock.0 -
