Anyone near the Peak District who can grab a day during the school summer holidays may be interested in any of this series of five 100km audaxes (Dark Peak, Mid Peak, White Peak, West Peak, Staffs Peak) all starting at 10am from Marple on successive Wednesdays from 3rd to 31st August:-

I rode one last year (Staffs Peak), which was a great hilly route on empty roads, with good caffs en route, and plan to ride a couple this year. Cheap as chips (£5/£7) too.
