I have been using bikely.com to plot my routes for LEJOG but since it is having major problems currently I need to take my gpx files onto another bit of software for some editing.

can anyone recommend a good bit of software?

ride with gps is rather good I find
And you only need them for yourself, google earth.

Don't know of any that use decent mapping though (OS)
    Do Nellyphants count?

    Commuter: FCN 9
    Cheapo Roadie: FCN 5
    Off Road: FCN 11

I use bike route toaster. Unclick the autoroute tick to keep the number of waypoints down and then transfer to your gps once you are done.
