Can't help you with that, I'm afraid. I'd be interested to see what responses might be posted, though. In the meantime, in case you haven't tried this one, have a look at this: http://www.bikeradar.com/mtb/forums/vie ... highlight=
    After uphill there's downhill

Sorry, haven't done those either, although have looked them up (as best I could) on the OS map. Richard at Ballater bike shop (Highland bikes?) might be of help? Have you tried the Ecurie Neeps website?

  • Hey, I've just moved to Tarland area and wanted to know the same. I found this http://www.walkhighlands.co.uk/maps/map3_9ab.shtml and also this http://www.tarland.org.uk/?Tarland_Show ... _Bike_Race
  • On the Walk Highlands map above, there is a mountain bike track just to the east of the circular route. It's between the text "Hallhead Plantation" and "South Confunderland."
I am a forestry surveyor, so was working in the Forestry Commission forest there when I found the track, would've liked to have scouted more of it with a view to bringing my bike back in future, but had a deadline to meet for work.
Was a singletrack trail with a few small jumps and berms built in, although it probably hadn't been cycled for some time before I was there last month. Definitely worth further investigation though if any of you decide to scout the area.
