Can't help you with that, I'm afraid. I'd be interested to see what responses might be posted, though. In the meantime, in case you haven't tried this one, have a look at this: http://www.bikeradar.com/mtb/forums/vie ... highlight=After uphill there's downhill0

Sorry, haven't done those either, although have looked them up (as best I could) on the OS map. Richard at Ballater bike shop (Highland bikes?) might be of help? Have you tried the Ecurie Neeps website?

Hey, I've just moved to Tarland area and wanted to know the same. I found this http://www.walkhighlands.co.uk/maps/map3_9ab.shtml and also this http://www.tarland.org.uk/?Tarland_Show ... _Bike_Race0

On the Walk Highlands map above, there is a mountain bike track just to the east of the circular route. It's between the text "Hallhead Plantation" and "South Confunderland."
I am a forestry surveyor, so was working in the Forestry Commission forest there when I found the track, would've liked to have scouted more of it with a view to bringing my bike back in future, but had a deadline to meet for work.
Was a singletrack trail with a few small jumps and berms built in, although it probably hadn't been cycled for some time before I was there last month. Definitely worth further investigation though if any of you decide to scout the area.0
