I use these, probably not for everyone, but I like them and the fact that they are adjustable is handy.

These do the job fine, and you'll only have to spend just over a couple of quid on each one.

Oh yes, they HAVE to match. Just think of the shame if they didn't. :oops:Where would you be if you fell down a hole?.. Stuck down a hole... in the fog... Stuck down a hole, in the fog, at night... WITH AN OWL!0 -

I have been using the Elite ones mentioned above. Look great for the price but they've gone all scuffed and are scraping the crap out of my bottles. Not a big deal, just looks a bit messy.0

what ever bottle cage you get, for gods sake!! make sure your bottles match!!

I just got my hands on an all gold Specialized Elite bottle cage as a gift from father in law. RRP is expensive as fark, 80 euros. They do look lovely though!0

After much deliberation, i've ordered a pair of these:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/2-pcs-Full-Carbon-MTB-Road-Bike-Bottle-Water-Cages-001-/300556143947?pt=UK_SportGoods_CyclAcces_RL&hash=item45fa8acd4b
This place has a good rep, so thought it was fairly safe (or at least a calculated gamble). Funky carbon cages from China for a similar price to plastic ones from here.
Abot 25 different styles too (http://shop.ebay.co.uk/carbon_bicycle/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_from=&_ipg=&_trksid=p3686) took me about 10 days to decide which style! If/When they arrive, I'll post a review.0 -
Looks a good deal to me, delivery times are normally quite long coming from the far east, but the products are normally well made and are always well priced. They often come from the same factory that makes the bigger brands parts, just have no major label names on them so you get huge savings!0
-
I have the ones that Duffer and Mickey reccomended - although on different bikes.
Cost me a grand total of £6 delivered. The Topeak was from CRC for £3.99 and the other one was from Wiggle and I paid £1.99 for it.
Both of them only weigh under 100 grams.
I think the plastic one weighs about 20 grams more than the cheapest carbon fibre one.
As long as it holds my bottle - job done.

Let us know what they're like, especially how well they hold the bottle.

I have those carbon cages and they've served me well for about 2 years now. At first they didn't seem grippy enough but I've only had 1 bottle bounce out so far.Gav2000

I bought a pair of those and they were rubbish. Went on one ride and the bottles kept coming out of them as soo as I hit a bumpy patch of road. Incredibly annoying. Took them off, threw them into the back of the shed and bought a carbon pair....Do not write below this line. Office use only.0 -
If anyone is still interested, I got my cages today (ordered a week ago)...
Initially looked too small, but they fit a standard bottle fine. Nice tight grip too - I feel it's very unlikely to end up bottleless in normal conditions.
Very nice looking & really nice finish - the pics don't do them justice.
For under £15 delivered (in a week) I'm VERY impressed.
