Hi All,
Just a quick post to let everyone know this year’s sportive is all sorted and tickets are now on sale. The event starts in Congleton ideally placed, close to the M6, M56, Stoke on Trent, Manchester, Cheshire and Derbyshire.
The event is on Sunday the 21st of August and covers some of the best country lanes in Cheshire and some of our favourite hills in the peaks, such as Dumbers climb, Thorncliffe and Wildboar Clough.
We have 2 routes, a 26mile and a 87 mile route.
All profit goes to Charity, last year we gave a fully visible costing break down and income, we managed to give 84% of the extra fee to charity and hope to do very similar this time round.
Any questions, please get in touch, if you took part last year, we would love to hear what you thought, don’t forget to add it to Facebook and Twitter to tell your friends.

Regards

Rode this one last year, thought it was really well organised, good signs, well stocked food stops, fantastic route and the organisers were really friendly. Will definitely be riding it again this year.
Plus I think it's great how much of the money goes to charity, I'm not too keen on the profit run sportives.
Cheers

How demanding is the ride? Really fancy doing it as im localish but a little put off by the comments on another post about the hills etc. This would be my first sportive, I have just done a 60 mile ride last weekend but that’s my top limit at the moment. What sort of times do people do it in? and what’s the callibre of rider do you get?0

I did see people walking up the hills at one point....but does it matter? Give it a go - you'll love it. I'm in two minds this year as I'm struggling to get consistency in my training.0 -
There's no better training that setting goal in the future to work to, get yourself entered.
It was a great day, especially with the weather, hopefully this year will be the same.
I spend most of the day in the van driving round to make sure people are ok if you get in any trouble, however its pretty standard that you take as much time as you need, some people try to set real fast times, most people ride for fun and the distance is the challenge, not the time.
Its for a good cause, give it a go0
