Cycling in Gran canaria anyone done it?

Going to Mas Palomas in August and would like to do some cycling. I was considering taking my bike but see there is a hire company called freemotion offering tours and rental packages. Anyone used them and any advice appreciated.

    im off to lanzarote from start august ,that week last year had a 50c heatwave from the sahara :shock: im going to enquire as to hire bikes when i get there , but im sure the wife and kids will have none of it :(
