I remembering watching it on the BBC but I can't remember his name, i know it was amazing, he rode along the Rockies and the Andee's. Does anyone know his name? And better yet what the series was called? and to top all that all the films he has made?

His website http://www.markbeaumontonline.com/ is quite good. In his book he comes across as a normal guy & after setting the record went on to do quite a few other challenges too.Pain hurts much less if its topped off with beating your mates to top of a climb.0

This guy is doing it (much more slowly) at the moment. In fact, there are lots of people doing that route, they just don't make such a fuss of it
