Hi,
I was just about to scrap my late father's old racer when I decided it would be criminal not to restore it (near as I can) to it's former glory. I believe that he did not buy the cycle fully built but saved up his hard earned cash and bought the parts from Armstrong when he could. Not sure how long it took him, but I believe it was on the road in about 1953!
Hopefully someone out there can tell me more about the frame, what model, year etc?
He did a partial restore on it himself some 20 years ago so he could use it to commute to work, which he did for a number of years.
Any info would be welcome, especially on how to upload a photo !
Regards
Tony

Interesting! Yet another Birmingham brand. I noticed the address on the ad is the same road as The Leatheries Ltd., one of the companies bought by Brooks.Bikes, saddles and stuff
