Hi
Looking at changing / upgrading my chainset.
But wondering the following
I currently have a FSA grossamer compact 50/34 BCD 110
But have Ben looking at a fsa slk again 50/34 but with a BCD 130.
How will this change the ride of my bike / gearing?
Or will it have no impact?
Little comfused about compact / non compact

BCD is effectively the spider length of the crank. Are you sure the 130 is 50/34? Normally you can't fit a 34 on a 130 crank.

Having looked again the 130 is a 39. Sorry about that
Im guessing this will mean a high gear ratio won't it?

Yeah. Although you can get smaller 130bcd chainrings from companies like Stronglight (their CT2 chainrings are fantastic! I use them on my SRAM Red crankset) I think you can get down to 36 with a 130.

FWIW 38 is the smallest ring you can fit with 130 BCD spider and 34 with 110. Most 130 BCD chainsets are 39/53. It depends on what type of riding you're doing - whilst most fit riders can cope with 39/53 e.g. for racing, 34/50 is popular for general riding / sportives because it has a lower gear more suitable for steeper or longe climbs.
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..

Actually you can get a 33-tooth ring on a 110BCD - TA make them although you don't see them often. they do exist though, but no smaller than that. Thirty-three is the bottom limit for 110BCD
