As the Subject says really, am I alright to run a 180mm rotor using a 185mm calliper mount?

I wouldn't if I where you. You wont get the same breaking force (you have 5mm less contact with the disc) and it will not feel right and will most likely be unpredictable. I would search for the right adaptor. There relatively cheap so its not really an issue.“Don’t buy upgrades, ride up grades.”

No dont you will have part of the pad not in contact with the disc. When the pads wear you will get the 2 unworn sections meeting and end up with no brakes.Fig rolls: proof that god loves cyclists and that she wants us to do another lap0

Ok cool, cheers for the replies, its just a pain more than anything to have to wait for a new adaptor. Oh well..Carbon 456... http://www.pinkbike.com/photo/8854609/0
