Hi all,
I am looking for a end of season challenge that I can put on the agenda.
I want to find a hard sportive, it has to be on the continent. Something with mountains would be awesome.
Thanks
Mark

Shame you want the continent.
I'll be announcing a rather challenging sportive event in Cornwall (in Sept) very shortly.Stumpjumper FSR 09/10 Pro Carbon, Genesis Vapour CX20 ('17)Carbon, Rose Xeon CW3000 '14, Raleigh R50

How about the Dolomiti Stars - definitely worth considering - see here...

Starts in Arabba (at the foot of the Passo Pordoi) and takes in the Passo Duran, Staulanza, Giau and Falzarego) or there's the shorter route which misses out the Duran and Staulanza. It's a great route, and if you're travelling all that way it has to be the long route eh? ;-))
Me and some friends happened to be in Arabba in September 2009 doing some cycling and it was on while we were there.
There's some pics and a write-up on our week there here...

For info, the hotel we stayed in was great (the owner is a keen cyclist), and the granfondo starts basically outside the front door - it just couldn't be handier, and there's loads of great riding in the area. As well as the above, you've got the Sella ring (Pordoi, Sella, Gardena, Campolongo), the Valparola, Fedaia, Tre Croci, Tre Cime de Lavaredo etc.
