Right spent all morning today attempting to find the trails!!!

I remeber visiting them in the late 90's and me and a mate got bored with the traffic at sherwood pines today loadsa kids and slow coaches jamming the trails up!!

So I said I knew of a set of trails and jumps in stapleford Nottingham, so off we went, dumped the car the leisure centre in bramcote and off we went to find said trails!!!

Short of it was we couldn't!! Some snotty nosed teens f*&ked us right off by teling us if we didnt know we didnt need to know and that we should take our over expensive fashion items back to where ever we crawled out of this morning and stick to old mans mountain biking!!! Nice lads!!!

Help can someone point me in the right direction it was the 12 years of drinking that made me forget!!!!!!

Yes. First of all they are not in the woods by the Leisure Centre (though there is a smattering of rideable trails in those too). They are over Coventry Lane from the Leisure Centre - so from the leisure centre go right across the big grassy field to the carpark, turn right and go up through the paved garden bit to the gate at the top. Turn left and go down the stairs to cross Coventry lane and ahead of you slightly to the right you will see a gate into more woods opposite. Sorry if you know all this bit!

On the other side head left up the hill. Soon you will come to a junction with the Hemlock stone visible on your left. Basically you have to keep heading clockwise round the hill from here. There's a point where you can go straight ahead and downhill - keep going right here. If you get down to the bottom to a field without having seen the jumps, you've gone too far - go back up and head further round the hill. Basically they are at the opposite side and at the bottom of the hill as you came in from the road.

Aside from the jumps (which are pretty extreme to me!) there are a couple of ok downhill trails from the rocks on the top, with drops/jumps, also bombholes here and there with drops/jumps in them. Basically once you get in the woods on that side, have a look around and play around.

There's quite a few videos on YouTube too of jumps and drops.
