Fitting BB7 now, but which one is for front & rear?

My guess is left one is front, right one is rear? :?

same size discs? 160mm? well you will only get one to bolt up.

the smaller adaptor goes on the front for equal sized discs.

if you look on the other side there may be some markings.

btw your picture shows you have the mountain bike version, not the version compatible with road levers, is that what you intended?

ok been for a ride. Generally unimpressed. Pads are closest to the rotor as possible.

I've returned home loosened the inner cable from the caliper then used the red dial (on the bars) and dialled it so the stopper is closest to the bars. Then pulled inner tight, and clamped it down. Then dialled it furthest away from bars.

Is this correct? That way I should get a lot of cable movement.

If you've got them set-up properly then you won't be disappointed. Did you follow the set-up guide? I haven't used BB7 for years (they're on my mtb tourer), but when set up properly and bedded in they're superb.

yup, loosened CPS bolt, tightened inner fully, then dialled out 10 clicks. Then tightned outpad pad, then tightend CPS. Then moved outboard until it no longer rubs.

It takes time for the pads to bed in- wind the pads right in and then back off a couple of clicks both sides
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..

+1 for making sure you've followed the setup correctly.

We've got them on the tandem and they are incredible (need to be on a tandem with the weight of two riders etc. to stop).

They do take some fine tuning, and the pads can take a while to bed in - also make sure there's no grease etc. anywhere on the rotors.

    Brilliant brakes for sure.
