Does anyone know if the FULL results of each round of the Tour Series are available?? On the website (and the BC site) can I only find the top 10, but it would be nice to see how everyone got on - especially the guest teams vs. those that got a slot in all eight events!!

Anyone find a link somewhere that I can't???????????????????

I suspect the commissaires are unable to actually provide full results on some of these tight crit courses. Think about it - it must be carnage what with everyone lapping each other etc. All they've got to go on is replays and a couple of guys with notebooks parked on the start/finish line. It's points-based so I presume the points are only doled out to the top ten?

Its actually position based on the top three riders from each team. Your position equals the points you get and then the team with the least points wins. They were saying on the colchester one how it makes all the riders do the whole race, where in some other crits apparently 'half the field might drop out'.

my point was that they must have the results of at least the top three riders from each team and that probably means they have the results of the whole field I would think

They need team positions plus BC ranking points go beyond 10th so they must record further down. Endura website shows individual finishing position ..some in 30s, so this suggests they are fully recorded somewhere. Given the guest teams are not in the race, however, they may not necessarily be recorded, which would restrict your analysis.

It's no worse than doing a cyclo-cross event.
Before Technology we had about 5/6 people scribbling numbers on any circuit races.
When the recognised leader/leaders came through then a new page is started and lapped riders are recorded there - and so on.
The count back then takes place when all have finished but the leading riders are known because they feature near the top of each page.

On bigger circuits and road races the assistant commisaires record any rider that drops behind and if they come back to the bunch the record is erased.
On the bigger circuits there is always the chance that a rider dips into the bushes unseen, to reappear a couple of laps latter.
I've been involved with one that was disqualified with "what do yer think we are Fiirking stupid you cheat" and word goes out about him and a possible repeat performance.

Unlike Internet forums most officials are ex racing people.

All places are recorded and included on the official results that get emailed to the teams the next morning, haven't seen anywhere reporting more than the top 10 though as it's the team results that count

Interesting that even the BC results only show the top 10

I love how it says "Mr Dean Downing" "Mr Yanot Barker" "Mr Marcel Six". How polite and upstanding!

Err side question. What times does the mens race start? Is it 19.00 or 20.00?

No reply from the organisers. Not even a 'thanks for your email'!!

Surely the riders are all wearing transponders, so lapped riders etc really wouldn't cause a problem. And they need to be able to place everyone, just incase for some mad reason the third rider of the winning team is over a lap down and no teams have three riders on the same lap (unlikely - but could happen!!).
